Profile Age-wise, for the most part, we are fairly young to middle aged with attendants of every age. Sunday morning attendance is between 200-225 people. Dress trends toward business-casual, though you can find anything from jeans to suits. People are friendly and are excited to meet visitors. Our Sunday morning service begins at 10:00 a.m.

Arriving When you arrive there will be parking attendants in reflective vests who will direct you to a space. If you have any questions about where to go once you arrive one of our attendants will be glad to help you. Most people begin arriving as early as 9:30 a.m., so feel free to come early and find a good seat.

Music We are a church that loves to sing! The music we sing at SCBC is a blend of old and new. We love the rich hymns of the past and we find blessing in the songs of today.

The Service Our service begins at 10:00 a.m. During this time we sing several songs, offer prayers to God, spend a few minutes greeting one another, hear Scripture read, and listen to a sermon.

Sermons Preaching at SCBC is generally expositional, meaning that we seek to explain the point of a particular passage in the Bible. Sermons usually last around 45 minutes and are filled with Biblical and historical content with a focus toward personal application. All preaching is driven by the Gospel, the Bible’s main message of God reconciling the world to Himself through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Post Sermon We close with a song then remain seated, spending a few moments in silent reflection before dismissal. A typical service is finished by 11:30 a.m. If you have questions following the sermon or would like someone to pray or talk to there will be several people near the front of the room

Children We have lots of children at SCBC! We have a nursery, located in the worship center (gray building), for children under the age of 2. Children’s classes, for children ages 2-8, take place in the Education Building (tan building). To check-in your children, ages 2-8, enter through the side door of the Education Building. There you will be greeted by our friendly children’s ministry staff who will enter your child’s info (name, allergies, parental info, etc) using our iPad check in system.  Your child will be assigned a number.  If we need to reach you during the service your child’s number will discreetly appear on a small digital screen above the main projection screen.

NOTE: For the safety of your children all SCBC children’s ministry staff members are required to undergo a bi-annual criminal background check and follow strict child safety policies and procedures. No one without a criminal background check is permitted to pass beyond the check in areas of the children’s ministry areas.  If you have any questions about our children’s ministry please feel free to contact the church office.

Difficulty Hearing? We have assistive listening devices available during each service. Please let a greeter know you need one when you arrive or stop by the soundbooth to receive your device and instructions.
