CHILDREN & STUDENTS

We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power and the wonders He has done. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget His deeds, but would keep His commands.

Psalm 78:4-7

Vision for Children

At Sussex County Bible Church we treasure our children because "sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him" (Ps 127:3). Jesus cherished children and blessed them saying, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these" (Mt 10:14). Therefore, it is our joy to serve and pray for the next generation.

We seek to nurture the children of the church in a safe, loving atmosphere by teaching them about God and His word.

The parents of the church are primarily responsible to bring up their children in the training and instruction of the Lord. Our role in children's ministry is to support parents through the offering of children's classes.

Our goal is to teach God's word faithfully and model authentic Christianity for the children. We pray that by God's grace all the children in our trust "will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor" (Isa. 61:3).

Curriculum

We use The Gospel Project curriculum which takes our kids through the Bible from cover to cover. Children will understand the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story - God's story of redemption.

"It is God’s plan to rescue His people from sin through the life, death, and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ. And it changes everything. Moral stories become a master plan. A church becomes a culture of grace. Good deeds become a holy mission."
