Duane Smith
Pastor/Elder of Preaching, Teaching, & Vision
Bio:
Duane is a lifelong resident of Sussex County whose life was transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ during his senior year of high school. He has been married to his wife, Jennifer, for 31 years, and together they have two adult daughters, a son-in-law, and two grandchildren.
Duane is a graduate of Clarks Summit University—formerly BBC&S of Clarks Summit, PA ('94 and '01). Following his training, he served as an assistant pastor at his home church. In 2004, Duane, Jen, and a small core team planted Sussex County Bible Church, with the goal of sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with southern Delaware.
Duane loves the Lord and His people and is deeply committed to the faithful teaching of God’s Word. In addition to his ministry at Sussex County Bible Church, he serves on the boards of Servant Leaders International and Legacy Academy of Delaware.
